Chad: Jean-Bernard Padaré, elected president of the Constitutional Council
The members of the Constitutional Council elected Jean-Bernard Padaré as head of the high institution and Madame Amina Radouma Atché, vice-president.
Aged 54, the new president is a Chadian lawyer and politician. Since February 2, 2024, he has been president of the constitutional council of Chad.
He has held various positions of responsibility in the upper echelons of the Chadian state. He was notably Minister of Justice, regional governor and secretary general of the presidency of the Republic of Chad.
