In response to an invitation from the African Union, the Secretary General of the CJCA, Mr Moussa LARABA, made a working visit to Ethiopia from 14 to 16 February 2025.
This visit allowed the SG of the CJCA to attend the 38th ordinary session of the African Union and to have contacts with the officials of the Department of Political Affairs and Peace, with a view to renewing the signing of the partnership agreement between the CJCA and the AU. As a reminder, the CJCA has been an observer member of the AU since 2014.
On another level, Mr. LARABA took advantage of this visit to meet with the Chief Justice and President of the Constitutional Council of Ethiopia Mr. Tewodros Mihret Kebede and his Secretary General Mr. Dessalegn Denta, to discuss the preparations for the next International Symposium of the CJCA, which will be held the last week of November 2025, in Addis Ababa.
