Algeria: Participation of the CJCA in the 6th African Judicia Dialogue

The Sixth Judicial Dialogue organized by the African Court on Human and Peoples' Rights, AFDHP, was held at the large International Conference Center in Algiers, from November 20 to 22, 2023.
Dedicated to the promotion of human rights and the effective administration of justice in Africa, this event brought together judges from national and regional courts, representatives of national judicial systems, legal experts and practitioners as well as regional organizations active in the field of Justice.

The general theme of this year is “Promotion of human rights in Africa: challenges and opportunities linked to the transposition of regional and international human rights jurisprudence at the level of national courts”.
This theme highlights the importance of coherence and convergence in the interpretation of regional and international human rights standards at the national level.

Mr Moussa LARABA, Secretary General of the CJCA, delivered a speech on this occasion, on behalf of H.E. Mr Said IHRAI, current President of the CJCA, in which he emphasized the role of the CJCA in the unification of African Supreme and Constitutional Courts with the aim of promoting justice and democracy in Africa.
