Angola : Celebration of 50 years of Constitutionalism

The Constitutional Tribunal of Angola organized a Conference, celebrating 50 Years of Angolan Constitutionalism, an initiative that reflects the constitutional evolution of the country over half a century.
The Conference began on February 5, 2025, with the theme: "Constitutionalism as an expression of the independence and sovereignty of States".
This event was attended by prominent national and foreign experts from South Africa, Algeria, Cape Verde, Mozambique, Turkey and Portugal.
On this occasion, the Constitutional Court also plans to launch the "Academic Prize 50 Years of Angolan Constitutionalism" and the "Constitutional Art and Culture Competition", an incentive for the production of academic works and various artistic expressions in the fields of photography, literature, painting and sculpture, with a specialization in constitutional law.
Other events of strategic importance are also planned throughout the year, such as the launch of the 3rd edition of the Scientific Review "A Guardiã". The program will culminate with the traditional, a space for interaction with the judges of the Constitutional Tribunal and society, thus seeking to popularize and strengthen the legal culture of citizens.
