CJCA: Launch of a website creation program for the benefit of Members Courts.

As part of the CCJA's ongoing effort to promote information, communication, and exchange tools adapted to new technologies within the CCJA's member jurisdictions, the General Secretariat intends to launch, in its 2025-2026 action plan, an ambitious program aimed at supporting African constitutional and supreme Courts and Councils that do not have their own websites, by providing them with the necessary websites to enable them to communicate and publicize their activities.

This initiative is part of the implementation of the organization's objectives as set out in the Statute of the Conference, particularly in its Article 3, indents c and d, which set out among its objectives: c) to promote solidarity and mutual assistance among its members; d) to foster the exchange of experiences and information in the field of constitutional jurisprudence.

The creation of websites is an important step in the modernization of constitutional justice and the improvement of access to information. This digitization helps improve visibility, promote the use of digital technologies, facilitate information retrieval, and disseminate legal and constitutional culture.

The number of African Courts and Councils that have been identified and that do not have their own website, and are therefore eligible to benefit from this program, is approximately 15 African constitutional and supreme courts, namely: Chad, the Central African Republic, Guinea, Rwanda, Niger, Mali, Guinea-Bissau, São Tomé, Guinea, Djibouti, the Comoros, Somalia, the Gambia, South Sudan and Lesotho.
