Morocco: Holding of the 16th Session of the Executive Bureau of the CJCA, in Rabat
In accordance with the Statute, the 16th session of the Executive Bureau of the CJCA was held in Rabat, Morocco on: January 26 and 27, 2024 under the presidency of H.E. Mr Mohammed Amine BENABDALLAH, President of the Constitutional Court of the Kingdom of Morocco, President of the CJCA.
The members of the Bureau examined and adopted the 2023 activity report, the activity program for 2024 and proceeded to close the 2023 budget year and adopt the forecast budget for 2024.
They also reviewed the situation of contributions, the status of memberships, the draft agreement with the African Union as well as the “CJCA Thesis Prize” launched on September 30, 2023.
On this occasion, the Chief Justice of Zimbabwe, Mr Luke MALABA, made an exhaustive presentation on the progress of preparations for the holding of the 7th Congress of the CJCA, scheduled for next November.
As a reminder, the Bureau is made up of the following countries: Morocco (President), Algeria (headquarters country), South Africa, Angola (outgoing Presidency), DR Congo, Djibouti, Egypt, Gabon, Guinea, Libya, Mauritania, Mozambique, and Zimbabwe (Members).
