Mozambique: Participation of the CJCA in the celebration of the 20th anniversary of the creation of the Constitutional Council
Created in 2003, the Constitutional Council of Mozambique celebrated its 20th anniversary on November 6, 2023.
On this occasion, an international conference was organized on the theme “The Constitutional Council, 20 years of building constitutional justice”. The work took place within the framework of two panels, one of which focused on “Constitutionalism in Africa”, and the other on “Constitutionalism in Mozambique”.
The celebration took place in the large “Joaquim Chissano” Conference center and was enhanced by the presence of H. E. Filipe Jacinto Nyusi, President of the Republic of Mozambique who delivered the opening speech on this occasion.
The Honourable Ms. Lucia REIBERO, President of the Constitutional Council of Mozambique, took this opportunity to provide a historical overview of the institution, its record, and future prospects.
The honourable judge-Councillor, Mr Moussa LARABA, Secretary General of the CJCA, represented the organization at this event.
