Acting president of the Constitutional Court since the resignation of Joseph Djogbénou, Razaki Amouda-Issifou officially becomes the president of the high court. He was elected to take charge of the institution on October 11, 2022, by his fellow advisers.

Previously Vice-President and Acting President of the Constitutional Court, Razaki Amouda-Issifou benefited from the confidence of the other members of the institution to pursue his mission. He thus becomes the first person in charge of the Court and leaves the status of “interim president”. Elected President of the Constitutional Court, Razaki Amouda-Issifou hands over his post of Vice-President to Sylvain Nouwatin.

Razaki Amouda-Issifou is a retired magistrate, former deputy and former secretary general of the Autonomous National Electoral Commission (Céna). The new President of the Constitutional Court has also gained experience in the management of local authorities. Indeed in 2010, he was elected Mayor of the commune of Ouassa-Péhunco, which he led until 2015.

The new Vice-President of the Court is also a former magistrate. Former Secretary General of the Constitutional Court (2009 to 2016), Sylvain Nouwatin headed the Autonomous National Electoral Commission (Céna) in the context of the 2006 presidential election.
